Change is coming

Hi everyone.

I’m not sure if all my blog subscribers know that my partner died in early January. It’s been a devastating time for me. I’m not sure where home is anymore, as Tom Johnson has been my home for almost half of my life. We have lived in Chilliwack for 11 of those years and although I love my little house and garden in the forest, I don’t think I want to stay here. So change is coming. We have a house on a lake in Victoria where his family has lived for ages and where we’ve spent a lot of time. We were planning to move there, so I’m going to follow that plan and see how that feels.

I really hope to connect with other writers on Vancouver Island, and in the future, I plan to offer some kind of writer’s retreat space in the beautiful spot where I will settle.

In other news, I’ve submitted a poetry manuscript to a couple of publishers and I’m picking away at another novel.
