The Postwoman brings twice

Two boxes of my books arrived yesterday and want to give a shout out to our local postwoman. I’d just read on the neighbourhood Facebook group that people weren’t getting packages to their door these days. Instead they were getting those notices that say you have to wait until 1pm the NEXT day to pick up. I was thinking how crazy that would make me since I was dying to see this baby. Just then our Canada Post rep pulled into the driveway. She carried the heavy box up the steps and when I told her it held copies of my recently published novel, she was gleeful about finding a local writer on her route. She said she loves reading and asked where she could buy one. I said right here and ripped open the box. She was my first customer! I’ve already sold five or six more to neighbours and friends. Other people have told me they’ve received the copy they ordered in the mail. Exciting times. But no one has read it yet, so there’s that to worry about. Do writers ever stop worrying? Or is it just me?

Oh! I have heard that Caitlin had a problem with their website, so ordering from them has been touchy in the past few days. If you or anyone you know have that problem, either order from your local bookstore, come to my Vancouver reading on March 18 at 7pm at Book Warehouse on Main Street, plan to meet me on a dark street corner with $25 cash, or email Caitlin Press direct. They are super happy to help.

Also if you feel like it, you could review the book on goodreads and/or Amazon (I know… don’t buy it there if you can help it). I just noticed that goodreads says the book is not published yet. I don’t know what that’s about but I’ll check into it (I’m still trying to connect my account to the book too! Apparently there is another Heather Ramsay out there with 8 books!)
